Rylee’s New Family Home

Help with the Rylee’s Home

God has brought us a wonderful family with two beautiful daughters Rylee and Emma. Rylee is wheelChair bound and has Spina Bifida. The family is presently living in a 700 square foot home that is not wheelchair accessible. Without this accessibility the parents, Laura and Jason, have to physically lift Rylee from room to room including the bathroom. This is not only difficult but it has created physical hardships for both parents. To complicate matters, the grandfather who has graciously allowed the Hamiltons to temporarily occupy his home now needs to move back. With a one income family, rising medical bills, and no other options available the family is struggling and out of options. God has given us the vision to partner with the Hamilton’s to acquire a used manufactured home to live in. The proposed new home is owned by a Faith Works member who happens to own a used mobile home company. Dan has helped Faith Works purchase a very suitable home for the Hamiltons at a very low cost. The home is a double wide home around 1500 sq. ft. and has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. However, it will need to be modified to allow wheelchair access for Rylee to maneuver her wheelchair throughout the home.

Project Proposal:

Purchasing the home is the first challenge, we then need to move it, set it in the new location and then renovate it for wheelchair accessibility. The new proposed location is in a mobile home park in Shelby Twp.
